Hi, I’m Mar, the founder of Retro Digitals, and I’m so glad you’re here! Let me tell you a little about how this all started.

My love for photography began years ago as an aspiring street photographer. There was something magical about capturing the world through a lens—finding beauty in the everyday and telling stories without words. But it wasn’t just the photos that captivated me; it was the cameras themselves.

I fell in love with the charm of digital cameras—their unique designs, the nostalgia they carry, and the way each one has its own personality. What started as a hobby—collecting, testing, and reviewing cameras—soon turned into a passion. I found myself drawn to the retro digital cameras of the early 2000s, the ones that brought back memories of a time when photography felt simpler, more intentional, and full of surprises.

Over time, I realized I wasn’t the only one who felt this way. Friends, fellow photographers, and even strangers online started asking for my advice on finding the perfect camera. That’s when I decided to turn my passion into something bigger.

In 2023, I launched Retro Digitals, a Boston-based small business dedicated to curating a unique collection of vintage and modern digital cameras and accessories. What began as a small online shop on Facebook has grown into a thriving business with its own online store and a loyal community of camera enthusiasts.
